SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Nov. 4 2025– H2C Safety Pipe, Inc (H2CSP) announces that Ángel Gurría, President of the Paris Peace Forum and former Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), has joined the company’s Board of Directors. Widely recognized as a global leader in economic and environmental policy, Gurría will help guide H2CSP as it advances its mission to deliver next-generation pipeline technologies that enable safe, efficient, and scalable distribution of clean hydrogen across public and private energy networks.

A Mexican economist and diplomat, Gurría has had a distinguished career in public service. Since 2022, Gurría has served as the President of the Paris Peace Forum, where he leads the effort to reinvent diplomacy in a changing world by originating, shaping, and sharing multi-actor responses to global challenges, fostering collaboration between governments, international organizations, businesses, and civil society to ensure lasting peace and sustainable prosperity.

From 2006 – 2021, Gurría served three terms as OECD Secretary-General, where he expanded the organization’s membership, strengthened its global impact, and established climate change, green growth, and sustainability as central to its agenda. Prior to the OECD, he held two cabinet-level posts in Mexico—Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Finance and Public Credit—where he led transformative economic and financial reforms. He is currently a member of the Global Commission on the Economics of Water and continues to be a prominent voice on climate, sustainability, and inclusive growth. Since 2021, Gurría has also served on the Board of hydrogen delivery company, H2 Clipper, Inc., the parent company of H2CSP.

“I have long believed that addressing climate change requires both bold innovation and international cooperation,” said Gurría. “Hydrogen is essential to the clean energy transition, but its promise cannot be realized without ensuring it can be transported safely and at scale. H2C Safety Pipe’s patented pipeline technology offers a practical solution to one of the sector’s most pressing challenges, which is controlling leakage. I am honored to join its Board and contribute to advancing a safer, more sustainable hydrogen future.”

“We are honored to welcome Ángel to our Board,” said H2CSP President Robert Shelton. “His extraordinary global leadership on economic, environmental, and energy issues brings unparalleled perspective to our mission. Ángel’s involvement will help us build international awareness and support for hydrogen pipeline safety, ensuring the clean energy economy of the future is built on a foundation that is safer, more resilient, and the most cost-effective way to transport and distribute hydrogen at scale.”
